Selected as Ambassador for ASA which includes giving tours, public speaking about my experience at ASA, and engaging with the community both inside and outside of ASA.
MockTrial,Phoenix--Participant August 2014 - August 2017 Invited to be part of my school’s mock trial team my Freshman and Sophomore years. We developed civil and criminal cases for both defense and prosecution. Our team placed #4 out of 40 in the region.
PhoenixSisterCities,Taipei,Taiwan--Youth Diplomat January 2016 - July 2016
Selected to be a Youth Ambassador to Taipei, Taiwan. I received diplomatic training for six months before traveling to Taipei. While visiting I met the Mayor and City Council members. I was hosted by and later became the host to another Youth Ambassador from Taiwan, with whom I became close friends as we explored each other's cities.
PlannedParenthood,Phoenix--Youth Board Member June 2014 - July 2017
Started in 2014 , worked with other Youth Board Members to outline our roles. We attended board meetings,had monthly phone meetings, and collaborated on small projects. In 2017 I was asked to lobby for Arizona youth in Washington,D.C.. My two-year term ended this year, but I continue to be involved with projects in the Youth Subcommittee.
SouthwestResearchandResourceCenter,Phoenix--Volunteer October 2014 - PRESENT
Became a peer mentor in middle school and continued through high school. Socialize and work along side teens with autism to help them meet their individual social goals. Also have written articles and spoken about my experience as a peer mentor in a variety of settings.
TeenLifeline,Phoenix--Volunteer July 2015 - Current
Began training to become a peer counselor the summer before my sophomore year. Trained for four months before taking crisis calls. Volunteer at least once a week for six hours, taking calls that range from a bad day to crisis. Was asked to speak about of Teen Lifeline during their largest fundraiser.
SKILLS Peer Counselor trained on topics ranging from Anxiety to Suicide. Extensive experience writing research papers. A skilled public speaker to audiences of 8 to 800.
LANGUAGES Fluent in English; beginning level French and Spanish.
EDUCATION ArizonaSchoolfortheArts,Phoenix--High School Diploma August 2014 - May 2018 At Arizona School for the Arts, was placed in all advanced English and math courses. Arts courses included Choir, stand up bass technique, and orchestra.
INTERESTS Travel, cultivating friendships, and exploring new cultures.
